Iran’s ‘The Dolls Breathe’ wins award at the DYTIATKO Int'l Children’s Media Festival in Ukraine.

Iran’s ‘The Dolls Breathe’ has been awarded at the DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival in Ukraine.

Iman Soltani’s film was named the Best Short Film for Children at the 11th edition of the Ukrainian event.

“The father gives Arezou a doll that has one leg. Children mock her. Her father makes a wooden leg for his daughter’s doll,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The DYTIATKO is held among children’s television, animation, cinema- and radio studios, teams and individual authors, television and radio broadcasters and creative production entities, directors and producers’ centers, which produce programs and films for children and youth.

The festival took place in the city of Kharkiv on September 4-7, 2019.
